We turn bold plans and
creative visions into fine
buildings
of lasting quality.

Our Values

We love what we do and relish opportunities to work on exceptional homes. Our aim is always to deliver an exquisite project that is right first time. We are fully invested in making this happen, with a can-do approach, an expert team and a commitment to lasting quality.

We make it happen

We are a ‘can-do’ contractor. We apply clear thinking and come up with proactive and practical solutions.

We get it right first time

We get it right first time by interrogating every detail and following robust systems and processes. This instils our fine building standards so that the project is exemplary on completion and stands the test of time.

We keep learning and stay curious

We never stop learning, asking questions, and helping each other get better. Continuous improvement is for everyone and for every process.

We say it as it is

Whilst we are respectful and open to other points of view, we don’t avoid the difficult conversations. Our clients and partners trust us to be upfront and honest, to properly manage expectations.

We’re all in

We work together as a team – not just internally, but with all stakeholders, in a spirit of true collaboration and open communication to focus on clients’ goals.

How we work

Our commitment to quality begins long before we break ground.

From creating detailed tender submissions to developing trade-specific Quality Assurance sheets, we leave no stone unturned. We’ve refined our processes over years of experience, surpassing industry standards. By clearly defining quality from the outset, we ensure efficiency, prevent costly rework and deliver superior results.

We can ensure excellence for every stage of your project thanks to our comprehensive construction management system. We rigorously record, monitor and share progress with everyone involved. This leaves no room for surprises and helps us to communicate effectively with the whole project team: from trades and suppliers, through to all of the client’s design team and consultants.

Our team

At Hale, our team is our greatest asset and each team member plays a crucial role. We bring extensive experience, innovative thinking and commitment to every project. Our strength is in our collaborative approach and open communication. We foster an environment that encourages ideas, overcomes challenges and celebrates success together.

Christian Hale
Managing Director

Christian oversees all our operations – checking, questioning and improving to ensure success.

At the start of a project, he works closely with architects and designers to fine-tune plans, taking early opportunities to reduce complexity and solve technical challenges. As work progresses, he turns his eye to quality control, to guarantee the highest standards of construction and service.

Christian is a Chartered Construction Manager and member of The Chartered Institute of Building. Becoming chartered is a fitting tribute to his experience, passion, leadership and commitment to professionalism across all aspects of construction.

Before founding Hale, Christian worked for a boutique residential developer in Knightsbridge and a high-end Chelsea-based designer and contractor.

Christian Pond
Contract Manager

Christian oversees a project from the first briefing through to completion and handover. He manages the construction programme and acts as the primary contact for client, architect and site manager throughout.

Christian lives in the detail of the entire design process: working with architects and designers, interpreting the brief, translating it into design, and anticipating any issues before they arise.

During his 20-year career, Christian has performed a number of construction, design and management roles, and founded and run his own property company.

Maxine Allen
Accounts Manager

Maxine oversees our accounts, taking care of all day-to-day financial tasks such as paying sub-contractors, arranging supplies and tracking sales expenses.

Friendly and approachable, she enjoys getting to know the whole team on a project, including clients, suppliers and sub-contractors.

Maxine began her career as an office junior with a family-run glass merchants, before later moving into construction, the industry she now considers home.

Jos Gibson
Contracts Manager

Jos oversees Hale’s projects, working alongside the architect, project team and site team, including sub-contractors and specialists, to manage the entire build process.

Personable and thorough, with proven problem-solving ability, Jos ensures the smooth and successful delivery of each project.

With a degree in Architecture, Jos is able to bring his design and technical skills to the table, as well as his prior experience working for a London-based development management company where he oversaw projects from concept to handover. With 7 years’ experience in the industry, Jos has worked across a range of projects that includes listed buildings, refurbishments and new builds.

Bryan Kirkham
Quantity Surveyor

Bryan manages the commercial aspects of projects, including tendering, procurement, cash flow forecasting, and commercial reporting.

As a people person he enjoys working as part of a team to bring clients’ dreams to life. Commercially astute, he is able to use his experience, his head for numbers, and his talent for deal-making to achieve the most with any budget.

Bryan has 18 years construction industry experience under his belt, working on both residential and commercial projects: from home extensions to £25m buildings at London’s O2 arena.

Adam Wimmer
Quantity Surveyor

Adam keeps the budget in check through the entire commercial process, from procurement to completion.

With his personable approach and considerable practical experience, Adam ensures the client’s vision becomes reality, minimising risk and maximising cost-efficiencies while aligning with the quality standards we uphold at Hale.

Adam has a Masters in Building Rehabilitation and has filled PQS and QS roles for a major consultancy company, commercial property developers and London-based contractors for more than 14 years, working on retail, leisure and domestic projects of various sizes.

He is highly motivated, has a keen eye for detail, a particular affinity for intricate schemes and a passion for refurbishment and heritage projects.

Vimal Kumar
Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Vimal’s sharp numerical skills and an eye for detail are vital as he supports our QS team with estimating, tendering, procurement, and day-to-day commercial management. With a BEng in Civil Engineering and Masters in Construction Management, he combines strong academic foundations with three years’ hands-on QS experience on high-spec residential and mixed-use projects across London.

His positivity, and natural talent for the financial complexities of construction, help him manage budgets without compromising the quality which defines our work. Vimal’s meticulous approach perfectly aligns with our value of doing things properly. Accuracy in estimating and commercial management is fundamental to every project’s success, regardless of complexity.

David Morris
Site Manager
Heather Niven
Project Co-ordinator

Heather is the link between clients, subcontractors, and project teams. Her strengths lie in working with subcontractors and workshopping practical solutions to project challenges: skills she developed from her corporate background as a Business Analyst and Project Manager.

Heather joined Hale initially as a trainee site manager in 2024 and has worked her way up to her current role. She helps our projects stay on track by reviewing drawings and programmes, visiting sites and keeping a steady flow of information between client teams and site teams.

Bob Whitear
Construction Manager

Bob brings four decades of hands-on construction experience to Hale, having worked his way up from labourer to management through every trade imaginable including plastering and carpentry.

As Construction Manager, Bob is the vital link between our office teams and site managers, ensuring we deliver quality whilst supporting and motivating everyone. He has a knack for making everyone comfortable enough to be honest about challenges and tackle problems head-on before they escalate.

With experience spanning high-end residential projects in the finest parts of London to unique commercial builds like traditional Jewish mikvahs, Bob has genuinely seen it all. His problem-solving ability comes from years of learning from mistakes. As he puts it, ‘you only make them once’ and he helps everyone else avoid the same pitfalls and learn as they grow.
